Went to lowyat to get myself a lazer printer, been eye-ing on this Samsung ML-1610 printer for a while, primary due to its attractive price of RM299, toner are priced at ~RM180 for “re-manufactured” type. But then when I finally got there the shop keeper told me that they no longer selling the ML-1610, its now replace with ML-2010, which priced at RM400 … hm… I walk around and scout at other stores, and don’t seems to be able to locate any of the ML-1610, oh well.. I left lowyat without buying anything…

Got myself another scam mail that is not routed to my junk mail folder that read as follows:

Subject: Payment Representative Needed ! ! !
FROM: MR. LEE CHANG
E-mail: leechang771@yahoo.com.sg

I’m sure you guys out there probably seen tons of this… I did a googling around and found this site Scam-o-Rama [http://www.scamorama.com/], aparently this category of scam mail is label as “JOBSCAM”, which has the following pattern, to con your money!

You know the drill:

1. For some reason our (bogus) company can’t cash checks
2. Please accept these (fake) checks
3. Then send us a (real) money order for most of the amount, keeping a bit for yourself. Lucky you.

Alternative m.o.:
1. We stole this (real) money
2. You will provide an account through which we can launder it

Another alternative m.o.:
1. We ordered (real) products using stolen credit card numbers
2. You will re-ship the products to us

I recently got a mail that read as follows, and the sender apear to be from an old friend:

hey, go here and we both get a free ipod

pretty pretty please

http://www.getitfree.net/awdrfhtjn

And the subject will normally read as “please do this, for a free ipod”, DO NOT CLICK ON IT, ITS A SCAM, to get into your email and spam all your friends, and worse, they will sell yours and your firends email to third party and you’ll elevate your spam count, PLEASE DO NOT DO IT.

Yeah… you've read that right! Don't be shy to admit it, come on, I even have a song to go with it ~ click here ~ It has the catchiest tune ever and its really funny wathching it. I stumber across it while was random browsing video from google video… jesh… these girls are not bad at all at camera ~~
